Teddy Bear Train Cake

So while I thought I would have to wait about a year to make another birthday cake for little Zach (the Jungle cake from a couple weeks ago), I was wrong.  His grandma decided to throw him a 1st birthday party this weekend.  His mom sent me the image from the top of the invitation, and I was able to recreate the teddy bear train on his cake.  The cake was lemon with a raspberry and cream filling.  Happy 1st Birthday for the 2nd time Zach!

Toy Story Cake

My friend Amanda decided on a Toy Story themed 3rd birthday for her son Aidan (my daughter Addie's best friend). She found an inspiration picture online of the cake that she wanted, and this is what we came up with.  The cakes are iced in buttercream with fondant and gumpaste decorations and Aidan's Buzz Lightyear and Woody figurines.  Happy 3rd Birthday Aidan!

Cupcakes for the Teacher

My daughter Addie finished her 1st year of school this week.  She wanted to make something special for her incredible teacher, and so did I.  We decided on a cupcake bouquet.  Addie painted the beautiful pot, and I made the hydrangea cupcakes.  The pot held 6 cupcakes, all vanilla with a hint of lemon buttercream.  Thanks for a great year Mrs. Tiberi!

One Fish, Two Fish

My daughter Addie and I made these cute little fish cupcakes this weekend.  We found this idea online and already had the round lollipops leftover from her party.  We turned the lollipops into fish with some candy, food coloring, and buttercream.  They were vanilla cupcakes with a hint of lemon buttercream.  The kids loved the double treat, a cupcake and a lollipop all in one!

1st Birthday Jungle Cake

This cake and matching smash cake were made for Zach's 1st Birthday.  The cakes were made to coordinate with the paper goods that they were using.  The bottom tier was chocolate cake with Oreo buttercream filling and the top tier was vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling.  Monkeys are the birthday boy's favorite, so the smash cake had a monkey on it!  Happy Birthday Zach!

Here's the picture of their paper goods.

Anniversary Cake

This cake was made for a couple celebrating their first anniversary.  The woman wanted to surprise her husband with a cake.  It is made to look like the top tier of their wedding cake with the scroll design that they used throughout their wedding.  This cake had a big journey ahead of it, all the way to Bar Harbor (a 5-6 hour ride)!  I decided to make a dense marble cake so it could withstand the travel time.  It was filled with chocolate buttercream and iced in vanilla buttercream.  It made it to the final destination in one piece and was a nice surprise for the husband!
