Colin's Pirate Party
My son Colin's 3rd birthday was a little over a month after his baby sister was born. So with a newborn and us still living at my mom's while our house was under construction, I decided to try and keep things simple. I went with cupcakes instead of a cake. Not sure how I ever thought making 24 pirate fondant faces would save me time or be easier than a cake. Oh well, my little pirate loved them, and that's all that matters. He also loved his pirate cake pops and the surprise visit from his Nana's friend's talking parrot Olly! Happy Birthday Matey, we love you so much and can't believe how big you're getting!

Golf Rehearsal Dinner Cake
The bride contacted me about making a golf themed cake for her rehearsal dinner. She said the wedding was geared much more to her taste, so she wanted to incorporate her fiance's love of golf into the rehearsal dinner. The cake is one layer chocolate and one layer yellow with the golf scene on top and subtle argyle on the side. Congrats Carolyn & Mike!
50th Birthday
My aunt told me about a year ago that she would like a hydrangea cake for her 50th birthday. She loves my lemon cake, so she got a lemon cake with green and white hydrangeas. I made chocolate cupcakes for the non-lemon lovers. Happy 50th Auntie Donna!

King & Country
This cake was for my father-in-law, the biggest Elvis fan I know! His birthday is on July 3rd, so I combined his love for the King and his country on his cake. My daughter and son helped bake the cakes for their Papa, and both recognized Elvis right away! Happy Birthday Papa!

Sesame Street 2nd Birthday
This cake was for little Willa who loves Elmo and Cookie Monster. I really love the way the Sesame Street sign with her name on it came out. Happy 2nd Birthday Willa!
Graduation Cake
This cake was for my cousin's graduation from high school. The Superman symbol was the symbol for his sports teams. Congrats Frank, we're very proud of you!

100th Birthday Cake
This was my first 100th birthday cake. At first, I had visions of 100s everywhere. However, the birthday girl did not want to see that number anywhere on her cake! So instead, her family shared some details from her life to be incorporated into her cake. She was born and raised in London, played tennis until she was 90, was an architect, landscape architect, avid gardener and traveler and even travelled around Australia in a camper. We can all only hope to be that interesting!

Baby Boy Shower
These little baby boy cupcakes and onesie cookies were made for a friend's sister-in-law's shower. Half the cupcakes were chocolate and half yellow.
Summer 14th Birthday
This cake was for our neighbor Grace who turned 14. She wanted a summer themed cake, yellow cake with buttercream frosting. Happy Birthday Grace!
